About This Spot

Stepping into Pitmaster on Bareket Street is like entering an intimate gathering where fire and flavor take center stage. There’s a palpable buzz in the air—a mix of anticipation, lively conversation, and infectious energy—that makes the space feel more like a happening celebration than a traditional dinner. The lighting is warm, and the rhythm of music and good-natured banter sets a lively yet approachable pace. You quickly sense that this is a place where the meal unfolds as a shared experience, inviting guests to be part of a unique, spirited moment.

At its heart, Pitmaster is a haven for meat aficionados who appreciate more than just what’s on the plate. Here, the food transcends the usual dinner routine, becoming a centerpiece for connection, participation, and storytelling. Rather than a quiet night of dining, the evening is punctuated by theatrical touches—the sizzling sound of an asado pit, the aromas of smoky cuts, the sight of dishes brought forth with genuine pride and flair. This is a chophouse that doubles as a stage, where each bite is an exploration and every course feels like a carefully curated chapter of a larger tale.

The mood encourages involvement and celebration, making it a natural setting for groups or special occasions that benefit from a bit of rowdiness and shared joy. The rhythm of the evening occasionally invites guests to join in, bringing a sense of warmth and spontaneity that makes the experience distinctively human. It’s a place where service doesn’t feel like a formality but rather an invitation to belong and savor something beyond just food.

While the menu offers enticing choices—from tender smoked entrecote and freshly grilled sirloin to artfully prepared goose breast and hearty salads—it’s the atmosphere and the communal energy that leave the most lasting impression. The generous portions and thoughtful touches, like inviting guests to enjoy leftovers or participate in the meat preparation, deepen the sense of camaraderie and authenticity.

Visiting Pitmaster is less about sitting down for a quiet meal and more about immersing yourself in a vibrant ritual where the love of meat is celebrated with gusto, laughter, and genuine connection. Whether you’re coming with a close circle of friends or a larger group looking for an evening full of life, there’s a grounded warmth here—a reminder that food, at its best, is about more than just taste; it’s about creating memories together.

Great and uniqe Meat show. Don't think restaurant. Come prepare to make some noise. Its not about the food as much as the experience. Perfect place for big groups.

Absolutely incredible evening. I took my husband for his 30th birthday- the staff knew this and asked him to join them with the food preparation. The atmosphere, service and food were incredible. We have not experienced meat at this level before. The portions were great and at the end of each course they offered leftovers to whoever wanted (which was everyone). We will definitely be returning and I will be recommending to all my meat loving friends

Worth every shekel. The best evening out money can buy. Great atmosphere and even better food. I would definitely suggest waiting the extra time to get a reservation inside and not in the gallery, as it is worth it to watch the show up close.

TL;DR Great meats and atmosfere! This place offers a feast of different meats and drinks at a fixed price. It is not just about the food. They made a show out of it with music, a bit too much talk, and letting people take part, but the meat is the star of this show. Since I have a veggie wife who has nothing to do there It took me some time, but I finally found the company to go with. The place has 3 sitting areas, the main hall is in front of the meat smoker where all the action is, the balcony and the porch - that have large TVs that show what is going on next to the smoker. Some will think it's a bit too noisy but it has a great atmosphere and music The tables are large and shared, so you get to sit with other people. When you get seated, there are a few cold cuts on the table, and then they start streaming different meats at your table, each one is displayed on the counter in front of the smoker with explanations. They say each time it's different, but what our feast included: - Cold cuts -Ontrib with rice  it was excellent! threads of delicious meat and nice rice. -Giros was not very good. it came with nice bread and dips, but it seems mostly for the show of taking it off the skewer. I had better ones on the street. -Entrecote was perfectly made, soaked with bits of fat - it was really good!! -Chicken baked for a long time with lamb  wrapped in dough . I had low expectations when they showed it on the counter, but it was really good. - Asado with potatoes was amazing, very soft, and full of flavors. - Picanha the meat was perfect but they put too much spices on it and destroyed it. instead of great meat, I tasted cinnamon or baharat. really disappointing. it had the potential to get to the top 3 dishes, but it ended up just above the Giros. - Denver cut in toffee cream. It was nice. For dessert: black coffee, tea and some cake, the place is kosher after all. You get a lot of food served to the table. They say you end up with ~1.4 kilos per person. You get pitchers of water, beer, and wine (both ok) to the table that are constantly replaced with new ons. You will get out full, drunk and happy :) There is a parking lot just across the street but the light train station is close to it and then you don't have to drive which would be challenging after all the food and drinks.

It's hard to call the place a restaurant, it's a completely different concept. They only seat once an evening, everyone is seated at the same time, 20:00. You pay a flat fee and then you are served a few courses of meat. About 6 or 7 courses one every 20 minutes or so and they make a show or of every serving. I also understand it's different courses every night but I'm not sure. Everyone leaves at the same time. The meat itself was fantastic and the flat fee includes all you can drink beer and wine. If you want a soft drink they tell you to bring it yourself. A very good experience. The flat fee is pretty high but you get value for your money.

Even though this restaurant’s main concept revolves around showcasing all types of meat, I must say, they truly went above and beyond for me! As the only vegetarian at the table, I was amazed by how attentive and thoughtful the staff were from start to finish. They made sure I had plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, including dessert, and kept checking in to make sure I was completely satisfied. The service was absolutely top-tier , 10/10. I left feeling so well taken care of and appreciated. I definitely recommend this place to everyone, even if you’re vegetarian or vegan. Despite being a meat-focused restaurant, they make sure everyone has an incredible dining experience.
